How Well Do I Know My Husband?

I'm at work -- we aren't seeing patients, the phone is not ringing, all work is caught up, emails have been read, so what is a girl to do? Stalk other people's blogs and get different ideas of what to blog next!!! So sad!!! Here it goes...

How did I do, babe?...

1. Your spouse is sitting in front of the TV, what is on the screen?
Cold Case, The Unit, 24, The Family Guy; not too much else...Scott doesn't sit for long until he's on to another project!

2. Who takes longer showers, you or him?
I think that might be ME and I hardly share the hot water! Sorry, love!

3. What is one food your spouse doesn't like?
this is a hard one - he's not too picky!

4. What would your husband say is the first thing that caught his eye about you?
Probably my personality...that had to be it, since we met long distance and for the first three weeks of our "courtship" we were talking on the phone and emailing!

5. Where did he go to high school?
Believer's Academy in San Antonio

6. What is his shoe size?
11, 11 1/2, 12 - depends what shoe it is

7. If he was to collect something, what would it be?
tools, tools, and more tools!

8. What is his favorite type of sandwich?
I make him turkey w/mayo & mustard on wheat, but he likes tuna, meatball, etc. Again, this boy ain't picky!

9. How does he take his coffee?
with 1/2 & 1/2 and a dash of honey

10. What is his favorite cereal?
ummm...Cracklin Oat Bran, Shredded Mini Wheats, Cinnamon Toast Crunch...at least this is what I've been buying lately!

11. Where did he go to college?
Southwest Texas State; NOT Texas State!!!

12. What is his favorite sports team?
Sports, puh...he doesn't sit around long enough to watch too many games, but if I had to say, it would be The Spurs or The Cowboys!

13. Where was your first date?
at a Mexican food joint in Pflugerville, w/some friends, and then off to battle one another, at Austin Park and Pizza ,in air hockey & skee ball! Afterwards, we hung out at his brand new apt.; complete w/zero pieces of furniture and wet carpet from just being cleaned!!! Ahhh - Sweet memories!

14. What is something I do that he wishes I wouldn't?
quit being so anal and OCD!!!

15. What is his heritage?
English???

16. You bake him a cake for his birthday, what kind is it?
No cake; he would probably ask for his mama's famous chocolate chip cookies! Yummmmmy!

17. What could he spend hours doing?
Fishing, hunting, woodworking, motorcycle riding, and the list could go on...

18. What is one unique talent he has?
he can build anything with his hands (or find out how to put things back together or make a machine work if it's broken; seriously - he's soooo smart!!!)

19. Where is his favorite place he has traveled?
probably Maine on our honeymoon...it's so beautiful!

20. What is a clothing item he would never wear?
anything "preppy" - he once told me to never try to get him to wear a blazer, unless it went w/a suit! he's my jeans and T-shirt man and I love him that way!!!

On Hold...

As of last Thursday, our "Triple Date Thursday" has been put on hold because Scott and I have joined a softball team! Yep, that's right -- if any of you knew how much I loved playing softball when I lived in Fort Worth, you know I was ready for this! I will admit that I was extremely nervous when our coach/team captain asked me to play catcher, because it's been about 4 yrs since I've played, BUT I fell right back into action and it was soooo fun! Scott played 1st baseman and our team won 10-6!!! We'll see how our game goes this week!

Valentine's Day

We celebrated Valentine's Day with a visit from our dear friends, Lauri and Chad Allen! They drove in, from Cleburne, on Friday night. We did what we always do best - eat, drink, & visit! Lauri and I used to teach together in Burleson and I miss her a lot! She and Chad are going to be first-time parents at the beginning of April and all of us are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their daugther, Payton Harper Allen!!! Thank you, Lauri and Chad, for coming down to see us -- we had a blast and can't wait to see ya'll again in a couple weeks!

Triple Date Thursday - Birthday Edition!

***please note the change of "Double Date Thursday" to "Triple Date Thursday" -- thanks to Shauna, I finally realized if you have three couples doing things together, you can't keep referring to double dates; they have to be triple dates!
Last Thursday was our weekly date night w/our great friends! Katie and Looney, ironically, share the same birthday on February 5th, so we had to celebrate this couples' special day! We cooked out and enjoyed cupcakes - made by yours truly! It was a fun night and we look forward to tomorrow night at Shauna and Randall's house! Thanks for hosting at your casa, Looney!

Sweet Sunday

Katie and Macee

What a wonderful day we had today! It began with a fabulous church service where we were sure the Lord was speaking directly to us! Next up was a yummy lunch at Luby's and then a surprise visit by our sis-in-law, Katie, and our niece, Macee! We had a great afternoon just hanging out -- mostly outside in our backyard because the weather was beautiful!!! We enjoyed visiting, watching Macee play, and previewing a little Superbowl action! Thank you, Katie and Macee, for driving up to see us! We always love our time together w/ya'll! Here are several pics of today!
Have a great week, everyone!
