Dinner and Dancin'

Over the weekend, our sis in law's parents came to stay w/Katie, Chris, Macee & Max! When Ezee and VPaw (remember, this sweet duo is also the reason Scott and I met over four yrs ago) come to town, that means Katie and Chris are able to have a night out on the town! And, we were super lucky to be asked to tag along!!!

Margaritas and Mexican food started out our night (we ate at Matt's El Rancho - super fun place!) and then headed up the road to one of my most fave Texas joints, The Broken Spoke! Bruce Robison provided the music and we two-stepped the night away! There was so much twirlin' and swirlin' going on, I don't think Scott and I have danced that much, in one night, since we met! It was such a FUN night!

Thanks for asking us to join ya'll, Katie and Chris! We'll have to do it again soon!

Welcome to the World, Sydnee!

Our newest niece, Sydnee Reese Miller, was born on Friday, August 14th at 12:25 am to Scott's sister Michelle and her husband Steve! We drove down to Victoria on Friday night to meet Sydnee and congratulate the new family! Sydnee and her parents were released from the hospital on Sat. afternoon, so we were also able to spend some time w/them at home as a family of three! Everyone is doing great and I just know Michelle and Steve are on cloud nine because they have finally been able to meet their little blessing! Congrats to ya'll and thank you for opening your home to us during such a busy, yet very memorable, time in your lives! Sydnee is beautiful and perfect in every way and we can't wait to spend more time with her! Love ya'll!!!

Baize's 30th Birthday Bash

Last weekend we celebrated our friend Vanessa's (aka: Baize) 30th birthday with an all-girls weekend at our family's lakehouse! It was fun to share one of my most favorite places w/my college gals! We relaxed in the sun, kayaked around the lake, ate delicious meals prepared by "Chef B", and engaged in fun and much-needed girly conversations! I love my time spent w/these girls and always look forward to our next reunion! Thank you Parker, Traci, Falish, Ashley, Brooke, and Baize for making the trek to the lake! Baize, I hope your "bash" was a fun and relaxing one and that your 30th year is your best yet! I love ya'll!

Tim & Amber flew to the Bahamas on Friday for a week long trip w/Amber's family! Tim proposed on either Friday night or Saturday morning (we've only gotten a text message from him) and she said YES! Scott and I will be gaining a new sister in law! Yipee! I am so excited for these two - they make an adorable couple! I can't wait to see where their future takes them...!

Congratulations Tim & Amber! We love you both and can't wait to hear all about your trip and the upcoming wedding plans!

Gettin' Our "Fix"

It had been almost 2 weeks since we had seen Macee and Max, so we had to get our "fix" last Sunday night! When Katie and the kiddos got back in town from visiting her family & Chris got off work, we drove over for a visit! Scott made a yummy dinner for all of us and it was good QT w/the other Chessher's that we love so dearly!

Dinner with Friends

We had dinner with our friends, Kim & Mike Linam, the other night at their house...it had been way too long since we had all hung out AND we had never met their newest little addition, Cash! Cash was born on Scott's 30th birthday in May! What fun to catch up with the Linam's, get some baby love, and enjoy yummy salad, pizza, vino, and beer! Thank you for having us over -- our house next time!!!

Reno & Tahoe

On July 17th, my parents celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary! Mom and Dad invited Scott and I, along w/Tim and Amber, to an extended Reno/Tahoe weekend! It was such a fun trip! We stayed in Reno, but drove into Tahoe each day! The scenery was soooo breathtaking -- I still can't get over how HUGE the lake is! We enjoyed sightseeing, gambling, and eating out! We also took a gondola ride up the mountain to take in all the sights! And, to top it all off, we were even able to spend several hours at the "American Century Championship" golf tournament! It was a beautiful golf course and we were in the midst of tons of celebrities!

Thank you Mom and Dad for taking us on a trip to celebrate your precious milestone! You both truly make an inspiring couple and have an awesome relationship -- one that brings loyalty, love, laughter, fun, and friendship into your marriage! Here's to many, many more years to come! We love you!!!
