Dinner with Friends

We had dinner with our friends, Kim & Mike Linam, the other night at their house...it had been way too long since we had all hung out AND we had never met their newest little addition, Cash! Cash was born on Scott's 30th birthday in May! What fun to catch up with the Linam's, get some baby love, and enjoy yummy salad, pizza, vino, and beer! Thank you for having us over -- our house next time!!!

Reno & Tahoe

On July 17th, my parents celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary! Mom and Dad invited Scott and I, along w/Tim and Amber, to an extended Reno/Tahoe weekend! It was such a fun trip! We stayed in Reno, but drove into Tahoe each day! The scenery was soooo breathtaking -- I still can't get over how HUGE the lake is! We enjoyed sightseeing, gambling, and eating out! We also took a gondola ride up the mountain to take in all the sights! And, to top it all off, we were even able to spend several hours at the "American Century Championship" golf tournament! It was a beautiful golf course and we were in the midst of tons of celebrities!

Thank you Mom and Dad for taking us on a trip to celebrate your precious milestone! You both truly make an inspiring couple and have an awesome relationship -- one that brings loyalty, love, laughter, fun, and friendship into your marriage! Here's to many, many more years to come! We love you!!!

An Early 2nd Anniversary Gift...

...if, and only if, we won the stinkin' lottery!!! Our car was in the shop yesterday & today and this was the loaner car we got! Check it out -- a black 2009 Mercedes Benz C300! Pretty sweet! Scott was able to drive it the majority of the time, but he did give me the keys last night as I headed out to Bible Study! He did state, several times, "please be careful"!!! I was and we (the car and I) came home in one piece! We now have our own car back, pricey repairs and all! I am sure it was hard for Scott to drive away, this evening, and leave this little darlin' behind at the dealership...!
Until next time, you little black beauty!

Does it look good on me? :)

Lucky Star Ranch

A couple weekends ago (yes, this is how I live my "blogging" life -- about 2 weeks late of my "real" life -- HA!) our good friends, Lauri and Chad Allen (and baby Payton) invited us up to their ranch for the weekend! They also invited Katie and the kids since Chris was working all weekend! We had a blast hanging out in their newly renovated house, exploring the land on the Ranger, eating yummy meals, and partaking in a few cocktails here and there! What a relaxing time we had with friends who we LOVE to hang out with! We are ready for our next trip, but maybe when it's about 30 to 40 degrees cooler!!!!!
Thank you Lauri, Chad, and Payton!

Matchmaker, Matchmaker, Make Me a Match!

Do you remember this adorable couple? It's been about 4 months since I stood in the middle of Gruene Hall, at our friend Seth's concert, and proceeded to tell Mr. Brad Walker (Seth's older brother) all about my precious friend Miss Bridget Massey! It's your good 'ol story of boy calls girl, boy and girl meet, boy and girl FALL IN LOVE and now...ARE GETTING MARRIED! Can you believe it??? I am soooo delighted to be able to say that I have had a hand in this love story although I know all the glory goes to God for these two people falling in love and, who are now, about to become man and wife!

It puts an extra BIG smile on my face because it reminds me of how Scott and I started out our relationship! Two special people felt it in their hearts (even though I know Mrs. Linda Burge would beg to differ and say it was all of her doing, not Mr. Virgil Burge, who introduced us!!!) to find a way for us to meet! They both loved us, cared for us, and thought highly enough of us to think we would be a good match for one another and this is exactly how I've felt about Brad and Bridget!

So, here's to a life, for these two lovebirds, filled with so much love and laughter that anyone could ever ask for! Congratulations ya'll -- you make my heart smile!!!!!!

4th of July

Family, food, fireworks, and fun in the sun pretty much sums up our 4th of July weekend at the lake! We spent a lot of time playing in the water because it was hot, hot, hot! I am so thankful for the memories we are able to make at the lake -- it truly is my happy place!

I hope everyone else had a great holiday weekend celebrating our wonderful country!

I didn't really take too many pics over the weekend, but if I were to display how I spent most of the weekend, it would be by the pic below - in the water any chance I could get!!! (and no, I sure don't mind being referred to as a "lake rat"! I love my life!!!)

M is for...

...motorcycle, mall, microwave, must-have, and of course, Macee & Max!!! Tonight we took advantage of a slightly cooler evening (it might have been 95 degrees instead of 105 degrees!) and got on the motorcycle! We rode to the mall to buy a gift and look for a new microwave! We also made a stop at our local sonic to get a "must-have" -- icy, cold, & tasty Cherry Limeades!
p.s. I just couldn't resist the pics of Macee and Max we took from this past weekend too!
