Baby Shower, Number One!

On Sat., March 12, my incredible girlfriends threw me, and Baby Chessher, a darling baby shower in Wichita Falls! What a great time to head home, visit my parents, hang out with friends and family, and celebrate our new little addition! It was such a fun party and I had a blast visiting with a lot of ladies that I had not see in awhile! We are so blessed by the many gifts we received - they will all be so useful for our son or daughter! All the gifts are fun, creative, and yes, practical!!! Scott and I enjoyed coming home and going through/organizing them all in the nursery!

THANK YOU to Lisa, Jessica, Baize, Falish, Parker, Kristen, Traci, Kelly, Ashley, & Brooke for once again making little 'ol me feel so loved and special by throwing a party in my honor! I can't wait to introduce Baby Chessher to some of my most fave gals in the world! I love each of you!

I also want to thank my mom and dad for opening their home, over the weekend, to all the comings and goings of me, Scott, Tim, Amber, Bryson, Jessica, and Bella! What a treat to have my family and best friend all in one spot for a whole weekend! And, thank you to Jess and Bella for making the trip from West Texas to come celebrate w/us! I can't tell you how much my cup runneth over!

29 Weeks

Apparently, we have some friends who are interested in seeing my baby bump clothed! I guess I'm quite fond of my bare baby bump these days! I'm so glad we've been taking these weekly pictures - what a transformation!!!

And, some random camera fun in our backyard! Do I have the "glow" yet? (yes, pun intended!) Hee-hee!

Hooray for 1st Birthdays!

Our wonderful friends, Daniel and Ashley, celebrated their little Abby Jo's 1st birthday last weekend! We were so glad to be able to join in on the fun! Birthdays are always great, but 1st birthdays could possibly be the BEST!!! It's so fun to witness the awe and wonder a one-year-old has for the sights, sounds, smells, & tastes of such a milestone! Happy 1st Birthday, Abby! We love you!

And, The Countdown Begins...

...28 weeks pregnant this week and entering the 3rd trimester!

The "dreaded" glucose test (it was not bad at all) happened yesterday at our dr.'s appointment and, thank the Lord, I am not anemic and have no risk of diabetes! Overall, this pregnancy has been a breeze! I am starting to feel more aches and pains, every now and then, and I definitely feel like putting my feet up by the end of the work day! However, I certainly don't want to sound like I am complaining. I know friends who have had to be put on bed rest and/or who have delivered preemie babies, on or before, the stage I am at now. Therefore, I am very grateful for the occasional feelings of fatigue and soreness because, afterall, it reminds me that we are about to be blessed with the greatest gift EVER - the answer to our many prayers!!!

This picture was taken with our new "mama-jama" camera! It will be the first of many, I'm sure! We'll soon need to document the progress of the nursery and the completion of our master bathroom! Yay!

A (Double) Birthday Celebration!

My 31st birthday - February 17, 2011

Mom's 60th birthday - February 27, 2011!!!

We celebrated, "double-time", this past weekend, with a family get-together in San Antonio! My parents had plans to be in SA for a conference that my dad needed to attend, so Scott and I decided to make a weekend trip to San Antone to spend time w/my parents and his family! Scott's mom (ahem, the hostess with the mostest!) prepared a yummy dinner, complete with her famous homemade Italian Cream Cake! It was such a treat to have us all there for a big birthday bash!

Birthdays are always the best in my book (heck, I decide to celebrate the whole month of Febrauary every year), but I have a feeling this year will be THE BEST to date! Maybe it has a little something to do w/a certain someone entering the world in a few months and bringing me unfathomable joy & happiness! Welcome 3-1!!!

February 17, 2011...

Benefit BBQ & Dance

On Saturday, Feb 5th, we traveled to Nixon to participate, and help out, in a benefit BBQ and dance for Scott's dad. Back before Thanksgiving, Scott's dad started having strokes and has been in and out of the hospital over the past few months. It's been such a hard road, lately, for Don and Bonnie. Therefore, the small town of Nixon, TX decided to plan a BBQ and dance to show support to the Chessher family and show support they did -- A LOT of money was raised by such sweet & gracious people who love and care for our family so much! Please continue to pray for Scott's dad and his stepmom, Bonnie, as they will continue to have some difficult days ahead of them as he works toward his recovery.
